Context
Chainless is an innovative app that lets users interact with the blockchain ecosystem in an intuitive, simplified way. A Brazilian crypto fintech that treated KYC and onchain transactions as part of the product, not a wall around it.
What I did
Multifaceted role across the product — design management, UX, development leadership, and digital strategy. I worked to ensure a consistent interface, efficient flows, and a product aligned with market needs.
Outcome
Launched publicly at Blockchain Rio 2024 with full KYC, PIX + on-chain transactions, and the Dollar Income feature. 120 users onboarded on launch day. Strongest signal: building a Brazilian crypto fintech in a regulated market, with users who actually transact.
Deep Dive
Leadership in Development and Launch
Coordinated the development team to ensure the app was ready for launch — uniting design, technology, and user experience. Worked alongside developers and stakeholders to align product vision and ensure efficient, cohesive delivery.
Design Management and Design System
- Design Management: Coordinated multiple designers, implementing Design Review processes, ensuring consistency, and improving Figma file organization.
- Design System: Used a Design System and UI Kit called Nucleus, which I customized for the Chainless app. Over a year, maintained and customized component libraries and styles, ensuring visual identity uniformity and facilitating design scalability through development.
- UI/UX Design: Collaborated on flow and feature design, applying my blockchain expertise to deliver innovative experiences within the app.
User Experience and Critical Flows
- KYC Flows (Know Your Customer): Structured the design of screens and interactions to ensure a secure, intuitive verification process — reducing onboarding friction.
- PIX + On-chain Transaction Standardization: Developed a unified transaction flow so PIX payments and on-chain transactions delivered consistent experiences. Goal: minimize perceptible differences between blockchain and digital banking, eliminating friction and facilitating adoption.
Dollar Income Feature
Actively participated in the creation and launch of the Dollar Income feature — concept to implementation. The standout: speed of the design, development, and launch cycle, completed in just two weeks.
Website and Digital Strategy
- Brand implementation: Inherited an initial site built on a generic template; reformulated styles, sections, and menus to align with the brand's visual identity. Built a reusable template system for quick landing-page deployment.
- Blockchain Rio 2024 launch: Developed an interactive gamified quest experience to drive engagement and app adoption.
- Influencer landing pages: Custom promotional pages with minimal friction for app onboarding.
- Support form: Implemented to optimize user service and reduce team response time.
